MPV Australia is a volunteer run organisation that relies solely on a team of supporters from around Australia to keep the organisation going.

We are currently advertising many new and exciting positions to help build a reliable network of volunteers

MPV Vice President (sydney or Canberra)

The role of the Vice President is to be second in command should the President not be able to fulfill his/her duties. The Vice President is also responsible for overseeing the development of projects and programs that further MPV’s strategic objectives. 

Reports to: President/Chair of the Committee

STATE DIRECTOR (Sydney, Brisbane, Perth)

The MPV State Director is responsible for recruiting and manage a team of volunteers committed to the empowerment of Muslims and the principles of human rights and social dignity.

These positions include a State Financial Officer, State Communications Officer, State Public Officer, Events Manager and any Project Co-ordinators in your state.

Reports to: Managing Director 

Hours: Approximately 4 - 8 hours a fortnight

 

MPV AUSTRALIA - EVENTS MANAGER (Sydney)

The MPV Events Manager is responsible for working with the State Directors and Events Coordinators to compile and manage the monthly MPV calendar (on the website, Facebook and Twitter). 

Reports to: Managing Director

Hours: 3 - 6 hours a fortnight

 

State Secretary (Melbourne, Sydney)

The MPV State Secretary is responsible for maintaining the membership records, encouraging new membership, and communicating with state members on any issues and concerns they might have. The State Secretary is also responsible for maintain records of any compliance documents needed in the state. 

Reports to: State Director

Hours: 2 - 4 hours a fortnight

 

Finance Officer (Sydney)

The MPV Finance Officer reports to the State Director (with support from the Treasurer). The volunteer will be responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining cash controls, reimbursing volunteers for out of pocket expenses, making any purchases or payments needed and maintaining accounts. The Finance Officer must work within the relevant legal framework and ensure compliance with all applicable Acts and Legislation.

Reports to: State Director

Hours: Approximately 2 - 4 hours a fortnight

 

MPV AUSTRALIA - EVENTS COORDINATOR (Sydney)

The MPV Events Coordinator is responsible for working with the State Director to ensure a vibrant social, intellectual and spiritual mix of events for the MPV community.

Reports to: State Director

Hours: 2 - 4 hours a fortnight

 

Program Manager - Ask a Muslim (Sydney)

The MPV is launching a new program titled ‘Ask a Muslim’. The program aims to combat Islamophobia by providing an opportunity for the general Australian community to ask Muslims questions about their faith and beliefs. Please see the attached appendix for more details on the program.

Reports to: State Director

Hours: Approximately 2 - 4 hours a fortnight

 
 

Website Manager (any location)

The MPV Website Manager will be responsible for developing MPV’s website, content and design.

Reports to: Executive Communications Director

Hours: 2 - 4 hours a fortnight

 
 

Volunteer Manager (Any location)

The MPV Volunteer Manager will be responsible for recruiting new volunteers for MPV. This will include working with State Directors and the Executive Committee to respond to the growing needs of the organisation.

Reports to: Secretary

Hours: 3 - 6 hours a fortnight

 

Graphic Designer (Any location)

The MPV Graphic Designer will be to work with project managers, the PR Manager and Events Manager to develop creative ideas and concepts.

Reports to: Executive Communications Director

Hours:  2-4 hours a fortnight
